Anna Ohanyan․ We proved in the league phase that we can put up a strong fight

On January 16, the draw for the UEFA Conference League knockout phase playoff round took place.
 

As a result of the draw, Noah were paired with the Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.
 

Speaking to UEFA TV about the draw, Noah FC development director Anna Ohanyan shared her thoughts.
 

– How happy are you to be here, and what was your reaction after the draw?
 

– The beauty of European competitions is that, especially in the Conference League, teams with history and major achievements, such as AZ Alkmaar, can be drawn against younger and ambitious clubs like Noah. That is what makes this competition truly special and unpredictable. I believe that during the league phase we proved that we can put up a strong fight, that we can compete and beat big teams. So I think we are ready after the league phase.
 

– I remember what it meant to you when you were speaking in Monaco, and now how special an occasion this is for you, as you are the first Armenian club to have come this far. What is the next goal now?
 

– Of course, the next goal is to be very competitive in this challenge. Up to this point, we have performed very well and have also made progress in the UEFA association rankings. This is extremely important for the future. Our fans are also following the Conference League more closely. We are very happy that we can now give Armenian fans the opportunity to attend European competitions in the spring as well. Noah are the first Armenian club to play in the Conference League knockout phase playoff round.
