An incredible comeback and victory: Noah defeated Legia

In the 5th round of the league phase of the UEFA Conference League, Noah faced Legia at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium.

AN UNLUCKY START

The match began unsuccessfully for the hosts. As early as the 3rd minute, the visitors took advantage of a mistake by Noah’s players, and Mileta Rajović put the Polish club ahead.

AN INCREDIBLE SECOND-HALF COMEBACK

After conceding, Noah managed to turn the tide of the match in the second half. In the 57th minute, Mateus Ayash restored parity. The outcome of the match was decided near the end: in the 84th minute, Nardin Mulahusejnović capitalized on an error in Legia’s defense and scored the winning goal.

Thus, Noah defeated their opponent 2–1 and virtually secured a place in the playoff stage of the European competition.

PERKOVIĆ’S POST-MATCH COMMENTS

After the game, Noah head coach Sandro Perković spoke at a press conference, analyzing the match. He first thanked the fans who came to the stadium despite the cold weather, then highlighted the high level shown by Noah. “We defeated a major European team,” Perković said, recalling that last season Legia reached the quarterfinals of the Conference League.
