Perkovich's first interview after becoming the head of Noah

- This is first encounter of Noah fans with our new head coach. What would you tell them, who is their coach, how lucky they are?

- Hello to everyone. My name is Sandro Perkovic. I'm coming from Croatia. My last club was Dinamo Zagreb. And I hope that all my knowledge and all hard work that I will put together with my staff in good result for FC Noah will be good also for the supporters.

- If someone asks to your previews players, how he will speak about you?

- I don't know how lucky they are, but I know that I am very lucky that I am new head coach in FC Noah and that I am coming to Armenian football.

If you ask about my previous player, regarding me, the opinion about me, I don't know, you know how players are, how they will react, but honestly I think they will react well. I always try to be fair, I always try to give my best to them, to help them to be better players and better men. With most of the players, really I have great contact also after I leave the club or we don't work anymore together, so I think there will be some positive shares.

- When you received the offer to coach Noah, what was your first thought? What did you know about Noah?

- I heard for FC Noah last summer when they win against AEK Athens, I was really surprised and then I searched a little bit which player are there and from which country this club come in. Then I follow next round against Ruzomberok, because Ruzomberok win against Hajduk Split. This is a team from Croatia and then I follow these two games and I saw that they are going to group stage in Conference League. I was very entertained also because they are champions of the league and after few talks with the president, with the people from the club, I decided to join.

– Have you spoken with the club president? Are you familiar with his vision for the development of the club?

- Our president is deeply involved in everything what we are doing, everything what is going on in the club. I am very happy that we have this kind of president and we feel his support every day and this is something what really give us strength and push us to our limits. Me and my staff, we were welcomed very warm and very kind. All people in the club trying to help us in our first days here,
they are all very kind, very warm and we feel really very well.

Unfortunately, until now I was only one day in Yerevan, but there I saw the camp and I am very happy with the facilities the club have and I think that we will all enjoy working in FC Noah.

- What have you already observed in Noah? What are the team’s strengths?

- Strengths of FC Noah. It's for sure in quality of the players. We have a lot of experienced players and they know how to win. This is very important in football and they proved this last season when they won both the championship and cup. They were able to reach the group stage so they know how to make results and it's something that is really important. What I noticed in the first day is that they are big professionals. They like to work. They work very hard. Their commitment and I'm sure that we are going to enjoy with them and that they are going to enjoy with us.

- How do you work with young players — what do you believe is most important in their development?

- I really like to work with young players. I don't have any problem to give them chance, to push them, to throw them in the fire, let's say like this. Most important thing for them is that despite the thing that they are now in first team of FC Noah, that they stay humble, that they are with both feet on the ground, that they work hard, that they are dedicated to the team, to our rules, to hard work, and that they really live as a professional. And I see this in our young players and I am really happy and I am eager to see how they will develop themselves.

What kind of atmosphere must exist within the team to win?

- Atmosphere is very important for every team. I think it's a mix of positive atmosphere with hard work atmosphere. Every player knows that every training is very important, that also not only what we are doing on the pitch, but what we are doing off the pitch is also very important, that they prepare themselves for training, for matches. I always try to create atmosphere like that we are one family with all, and bad and good things, and that we stick together also in some hard times. And I think this is the crucial for one team to make one family atmosphere where everybody knows what he is doing and that we are going in the same direction.

- What inspires you about the Champions League? What matters most in such matches?

- Champions League is the best competition in football in the world. Just the name Champions League says everything. In the Champions League, everything is important. Every single out, every single throw-in, every single pass, it's really important. This is the highest level of football and mistakes there are very expensive. And to be fully focused, fully prepared for what will await you in those kind of games.

- What football you will play in Noah?

- We will try to play modern football - with a lot of high intensity, a lot of quality on the ball, to control the ball, to control the game, to dominate trough position. We want to control the game both with offensively and defensively. And i think that this things going to be successful.

- What would you like to say to the Noah fans?

- I can only invite them to our games, to come in good numbers, to give us support. And I can assure them that the team will always give absolutely everything what they have in this moment. We will fight for them also, and I hope that after our games they will go to their homes with full heart and with happiness in their face.
